Getting started as a nonprofit

Your account, verifying your nonprofit, and your first event.

What do we need to start?
An email address for your account; your organization's legal name, EIN, website and mailing address; and the event's date, venue and roughly how many players you expect.
How is our nonprofit verified?
We check your EIN against IRS records when you register the organization; most 501(c)(3)s are verified in a few seconds. If the automatic check can't match you, upload your IRS determination letter and a person reviews it. You can set up your event while you wait.
When does our event go public?
When you publish it. Free events are approved the moment you submit them; events that charge a registration fee get a quick review first. Every event gets its own address, like gameonforgiving.com/your-tournament, with your name, logo and colors.
Can volunteers help on the day?
Yes. Volunteers check players in and keep score with the event's volunteer PIN, without an account.
